PRE-SALE – READY FOR BUILD:
This BMX is READY FOR BUILD – This means we will be building/restoring this frame set to Factory Stock specifications using all/mostly 80’s Made in Japan BMX components once it is Pre-Sold. It will be completed restored to it’s original 1981 state as if it came from the Bike shop in 1981!
Want Custom Specs? – We can also build this BMX according to a Customer’s Requests and Budget once it is Pre-Sold. This includes making alterations or building it in Custom specs (different from Factory specs). Build how you like it or want it, fitting your budget.
*Most of our restoration builds are Pre-Sold to customers around the world.
FRAME SET DETAILS:
The late 1981 Kuwahara KY-2 / KE-1 BMX is the looptail gusseted Kuwahara BMX which was made between 1981 and 1983. The Tri-Moly frame is Chrome plated and built with Tange tubing and welded by Toyo. The fork is a Tange TX-1200 (KY-2 model) or a Tange TX-Super (KE-1 model). All made in Japan.
The frame was used for either a KY-2 with low end components and a TX-1200 fork or a KE-1 with high end components and a TX-Super fork.
*All of our Kuwahara BMX restorations include a Replica Factory Kuwahara BMX Owner’s Manual not available on the market.
